Which mobile app can we use if HP Laserjet Pro M12w does not support HP Smart app? I understand that HP ePrint app has retired.

Yes, it makes copies just fine from everything except my phone. It used to work from my phone just fine. (Still works for other peoples phones.)
Yes, the drivers are fine.

Again, the issue seems to be with printing from my phone.

ePrint Printer registered, but doesn't show up in my account

I have had a printer that I setup a couple years ago on the old eprint website.  at some point when there was a system change for HP Connected i had to change the email.  I changed it and now it works again.  I can email to this printer with no problems and it prints fine.

 

I went to login to my HPConnected account and it doesn't show any printers but tells me to enter my claim code from Printer Info.  I printed my Printer Info but it just showed my printer's email, not any claim code.

 

I'm kind of stuck.  If there a way on the HPConnected site to claim a printer that is already registered?

My 5255 will print from several devices after everything is restarted.  After a couple of hours it is reported as off line.

 

Also, it has new ink but continually asks to be connected to report to instant ink.  I say "connect" and it runs a wavy line for hours, never connecting.  I have to assume it's a defective printer.  I have had 3 support sessions with HP and it usually works for a few hours before going off line.

Hp envy 5030 cartridge problem

Product Name: Envy 5030
Recently installed a brand new genuine HP printer cartridge 304XL (tri-color). When I installed it the screen said 'Genuine cartridge installed' or similar.

However, now when I try and print - it gets a little way through and then stops saying printer cartridge error - reinstall it etc.

Have done this several times to no avail. Have followed the troubleshooting steps here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03743431/ which haven't helped.

The printer is only a couple of months old and the cartridges are brand new. After reseating them in the caddy, the printer recognises them and sees they have full ink. But next time I print, it gets the issue.

Hi,

To get a Claim Code you would need to remove Web Services and set it up again to get a valid claim code, however it is likley that you won't be able to select the same address for 6 months as the specific address is not associated with your HP Connected account..

Bought printer recently. when the cartridges finished I installed the cartridges received by post. Then the Message - Cartridge cannot be used until the printer is entrolled in HP Instant Ink came up

So I enrolled in the Instant Ink Programme and Updated the printer as well as restarting the printer. Still, the above message appeared and I cannot even photocopy documents. Any help would very much be appreciated.

Please try printing a Self Test/Device Configuration page through the control panel as described below and ensure the hardware prints correctly:

Assuming that works try restarting both your printer and Chromebook devices and try pritning again, then check for any difference.

 

If you still cannot be print please clarify your connection method, is the printer connected with a USB or with a wireless connection?

 

For a Wireless connection, what is the listed IPv4 address within the BNetwork Information section of your printed Self Test? can this IP be accessed from Google Chrome on your Chromebook?

print blank pages but prints the cleaning and alignment pages

I have read up a bit and tried removi g cartridges, printing in single cartridge mode, cleaned the printhead and a confirmation page printed in perfect colour. Alignment page printed perfectly too. when I want to print any other document it prints but the page is blank.

HPConnected refuses to accept previously used email

I tried to add an email address to my HPConnected printer. It said it could not do this as the email had been used before. On the same page it said you could transfer previously used email address from one printer to another. This is what I want to do. I tried to contact support but in UK, unlike in US, no help available via chat. Why don't you just let people send an email? Sheesh.

My HP Envy 4520 is printing blank pages

I bought my printer about a year ago and enroled for Instant ink. Everything has been working fine until yesterday (Sept 14th). I sent a word document to the printer but it only printed out a blank page. I tried again this morning with with the document and an Excel spreadsheet with the same outcome. (By the way I have a wireless internet connection).

 

I have checked the ink levels and, though low, seem fine to me. I have had no gradual deterioration in print quality. Nor have I had any messages to say that ink levels are low, nor any 'notifications' from HP.

 

Earlier in the week I used my printer to scan in three documents (I first time I have done so since I bought it). Has this caused he problem. Also i have had four Windows updates in the past week.

 

I an reluctant to print anything else because these three pages have been counted against my useage. (can they be recredited back please?)

New instant ink cartidge not being accepted by printer

I have just received a new instant ink cartridge and have put it in correctly but it is not being accepted by the printer. The printer shows an error message each time and says that only one ink cartridge can be used at this time as a result.

Just got new HP Desk Jet 3830. works fine with ipad and iphone, but not with my pc. It is connected with a USB. I can't print email attachments or scanned documents. when I try to print, I get this message:

"We couldn't reach this printer. Make sure the printer is on and you are

connected to the printer's network, or try a different printer."

i have reinstalled the printer several times, both wirelessly and using the USB. same results. 

Either it has to get fixed or I will have to return the printer.  Need help!

Connecting laptop to printer

I am currently trying to connect my HP Envy 4520 to my HP Spectre laptop. I am a student and at my university, the printer can only connect to the Guest network as it says it has an error when attempting to connect to the normal school wifi that is connected to my laptop. Is there a way, without a cable, to connect the printer and laptop across different networks? I have had others do it in the past but I am unsure how to go about this process. Thanks!

After reviewing post thoroughly, I see that you are having issues only while printing from phone. Don't worry I'll do my best to help you with this.

 

Just wanted to check are you using Android phone or iPhone? What application are you using to print from? Is it HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS) devices.

Have you tried to update your Phone or have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the App?

 

Could you once again reply to this post with the details for further assistance.

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

 

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

 

Let's start with a Printer Reset

 

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
 NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.


The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed
 

On the Printer Keypad you will see Numbers at the Bottom right. You need to click on it and then you will get the options to enter Numbers and special characters

Hi!

I am using an Android and, yes, I have the HP Smart app on my phone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app twice as well as updating my phone. Unfortunately, none of that helped.
